I missed Civil War because of cancer and being ill. I thought it would be easier to purchase the TPB and try to catch up that way. I have a list of 22 or 23. Does anyone have any idea in what order they should be read in?
Thanks

M: Good points. I've never seen such a botched story. I really didn't care for the whole thing myself. I feel that DC does a much better job with their crossovers.

What no one seems to have noticed, is that the Marvel Checklist, (pretty much the above list there,) is NOT a reading order. It's simply a checklist of each months CW titles listed ALPHABETICALLY by the month they were ORIGINALLY supposed to come out. Some titles were released late due to artists missing deadlines or being ill. The Marvel CW Gallery is the closest thing I've seen to an accurate order, but even it has problems, like the omission of FF 542 and the inclusion of the trade paperbacks and endless reprints. This whole storyline is so poorly executed that Marvel itself has failed to produce an accurate reading order. But they ARE raking in the cash which I believe was their only real concern. Either way, I'm reading it, liking some parts, detesting others, and eagerly awaiting the Big Oops storyline a-la Crisis, when Marvel tries to undo everything.

Cheers. I find it insane though that there are so many varying lists. Take this one:

Completely different to Marvels.

Marvel's Civil War Gallery is more accurate and I recommend using it as your guide.

Right, I'm confused with the update at the top of the page. Is the Marvel Gallery the definitive version of the reading list, or is the one above the correct one?

Just got meself yonder Ghost Rider #8 and that's under the banner of Casualties of War too, in case you wanna add that and #9 to your list. Also I don't know if it really counts, what with being a waste of time, but theres the Ultimate SpiderHam Civil War Crisis issue that came out last week that I guess should come under the general banner of Civil War based nonsense.
Cheers

What I don't understand with the whole Civil War thing:
I have Black Panther #22 which is part of Civil War... it doesn't appear on the list, so how does it fit in?

On top of this, Winter Soldier, War Crimes, Iron Man / Captain America, Black Panther #23 and Civil War Front Line #9 were all released BEFORE Civil War #6, but you're supposed to read them AFTER Civil War #6... what's Marvel's deal?
